Cut the dual voice to a single one last night. That’s an improvement and the resultant revision is the audio I think I’ll be sticking with now. It’s piping but passable.
Thought I’d made some really encouraging progress this afternoon getting my flotilla lined up and some good initial camera angles including palm frond framing for colour and interest.
Teasingly, the four seconds I’d established exported beautifully at 15fps in a small frame dimension. As iClone couldn’t preview at more than 3fps (making it hard to see what’s going on), I decided I’d like to export a variety of sequences to manipulate in an external video editor.
Premiere likes DV. Premiere likes PAL DVD 720×576 at 24fps…. so that’s what I requested. iClone fell over…… disappointing. MORE disappointing was that it now won’t open the source Project File so I can’t get IN to get OUT summink (ANYfink) weedy.
At the moment it looks like I’m going to have to re-create the boat and camera positions with an earlier-save and then just GUESS what Export Settings MIGHT work. I’m wondering if I might be able to choose a STILL image sequence to re-assemble elsewhere……*if* it will get the result that’s O.K ; it’s the trashing of Projects that’s the most irksome thing.
Hmm – so always remember – save everything, in multiple guises at multiple stages.
