Yay !
I’ve spent the morning mooching around the interwebs looking at console reviews. Basically, my route to find out if “Fable II” is “too feeble” would have to start with the untimely and INSANE squanderisation of £1000 (no small poppy, especially to someone with no income) - and would probably end with me haemorraging, horribly, trying [...]

I quite expected this game to devour my weekend and was pleased when the PC DVD-ROMs arrived only one day after the official release. I purchased (at about a third off the RRP, indeed HALF (!!!) the price of the download which is so sizeable (at a HEFTY 15GB) it would have eaten a full month’s worth of [...]

Creative Assembly have, at last, announced the release date for the postponed game “Empire : Total War” as
March 3 2009.

The article includes a caveat that the software has to be activated using “STEAM”.
I intend to buy a DVD version to use with my offline laptop but if it didn’t run on that I would retreat [...]

I gave “Spore“ another try on Sunday afternoon, dutifully dragging myself back after a nine-day absense, and managed (!) a rather paltry (Oooh ! “rather paltry” sounds a bit like “Roger Daltry“. Who ? Exactly). extra half an hour (bringing my total gaming experience with it up to 270 minutes).
You may be of the opinion [...]

“Well done,” to Gamestation for delivering on their promise and getting “Spore” to my door on release day (YAY !) ….and “Well done,” to a “Well-done-for“-me for “givin’ it a rest” (and (possibly) [SHORT SHRIFT]) after the four [SURE SORE] hours of intensely repetitive actions (hatching ova over and over and OVER again to gain [...]

The biggest fight Creative Assembly’s “Medieval Total War – Kingdoms” is giving me at the moment is – AGAIN – a visual issue.
I don’t know if the symptoms I am witnessing are indicative of my graphics card being dodgy at a hardware level. I was able to start the game O.K. today – with the [...]

It’s been months since I played a computer game (if I don’t include the hour or so I spent with the Spore Creature Creator Demo that has encouragingly shown that my new ThinkPad might be up to handling the full release). I decided to update my Sims 2 with the latest Free Time patch. This [...]

The above link is to a thread about how to deal with a screen display that has been shunted off-centre.
I needed this today when I tried to grab my first go at Medieval II Total War – Kingdoms in almost six MONTHS (!) (I haven’t allowed myself any “playtime” since starting my Fantamorph Presidents Project), [...]
