I have reached page 210 of the iClone 3.1 Ex Manual where the text details the method for creating re-usable “Animation Helpers“. These are pathways that can be saved and re-used on other objects. It seems pretty easy…..and the example WORKED ! Here’s a screenshot.

Apparently only Generation 3 characters have a jaw bone. CloneCloth is solely for Generation 2 characters….. This suggests that no one in a <custom costume> will be able to YAWN overtly.
